Jim Eyer

Jim Eyer, age 73, of Greenville and formerly of Eldorado passed away at 5:51 P.M. on Friday, December 25, 2015 at Wayne HealthCare Center in Greenville. Jim was born October 10, 1942 in Greenville to the late Harry W. & Genevieve (Kendall) Eyer.

Jim is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Lyle & Hope Eyer of New Madison; daughter & son-in-law, Lisa & Brian Slade of Arcanum; grandchildren, Jordan & Amanda Slade, Mycaela Slade, Derek Eyer and Cody Eyer; and a sister & brother-in-law, Jean & John Lantz of Centerville.

Jim owned and operated Jim’s Barber Shop in Eldorado for 49 years. Jim was a member of Fort Black Masonic Lodge No. 413 of New Madison. Jim was a volunteer fireman for Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Zechar Bailey Funeral home in Greenville with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department.
