Robert E. Mitchell
Robert E. Mitchell, age 85, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday,
July 24, 2017 at 8:55 PM at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on
June 13, 1932 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Jobe & Ethel
(Alexander) Mitchell.
He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Tim & Collette
Mitchell of Greenville; daughters and sons in law, Gena & Bill Hoyt
of Greenville, Brenda & Randy Brasher of Florida and Sheree Boyd of
Tipp City; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brothers and
sisters in law, Richard & Linda Mitchell of Tennessee and Jim &
Margaret Mitchell of Greenville; sisters, JoAnn Cecil and Barbara Young
both of Troy; companion, Ida Wright of Brookville; as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Daniel
Lee Mitchell.
Robert was a member of the United States Navy serving in the Korean
War. He was the owner and operator of Superior Soft Water and a
member of the VFW in Greenville. He loved fishing, playing cards and
woodworking.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 10:00 AM to
12:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. There
will be a military service conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor
Guard on Friday at 11:45 AM at the funeral home. There will be no
burial following the service.
