V. Benedict, 82 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Friday November 24,
2017 at 12:43 AM at her residence. She was born September 8, 1935
in Phillipsburg, Ohio the daughter of the late Lee Roy & Ada
Frances (Miller) Garber.
She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter: Ruth
Benedict; brother: Richard Garber; sisters & brothers in
law: Margaret Lesh, Pearl & Thomas King, Mabel & Joseph
Flora, Treva Flora; in laws: Doris & Carl Nead, Verda &
Glenn Fisher.
She is survived by her husband: Merle D. Benedict of Greenville; her
children & spouses: Marilyn Benedict of Greenville, Melvin
& Darlene Benedict of Greenville, Gary & Denise Benedict of
Ellensburg, Washington, Gloria Benedict of Greenville, Calvin &
Laura Benedict of Knob Noster, MO, Daryl & Stephanie Benedict of
New Madison, Sharon & John Sink of Ferrum, VA; 20 grandchildren; 8
great grandchildren; sister & brothers in law: Wilma &
Everett Brubaker of Brookville, Betty & Harvey Bowman of
Brookville; in laws: Helen Garber of Union, Ohio, George Flora of
Brookville, Raymond & Orpha Benedict of Chambersburg, PA.
A short service will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at 9:00 AM at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with the funeral service
following at 10:00 AM at the Palestine Old German Baptist Brethren
Church on Clark Station Road with the Home Brethren officiating.
Burial will follow in Miller Grove Cemetery. Family will receive
friends from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on
Monday November 27, 2017 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville,
Ohio.
