W. Eileen Longfellow

W. Eileen Longfellow, age 87 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 5:03 PM Monday April 16, 2018 at the Village Green Health Care Center in Greenville.  Eileen was born August 30, 1930 in Van Buren Township Darke County Ohio and the daughter of the late Elmer I. and Myrtle Marie (Oswalt) Baker.

She was retired from the Arcanum Butler School Food Services where she had been employed for 28 years.  She was a long time resident of Butler Township, a 1948 graduate of Arcanum High School, a 28 year member of SERO (School Employee Retirees of Ohio), an avid gardener and a very active member of the Trinity Wesleyan Church of Greenville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Robert E. Baker.

Eileen is survived by her husband James A. Longfellow of Greenville.  They were married February 11, 1950.  Also daughters Donna J. (Chuck) Gasper of Greenville and V. Darlene (Dale)         Travis of Anderson, Indiana; grandchildren Alisha Bernhardt, Shawn Travis, Denise Keller and Jenny Diehl: great grandchildren Isabella Travis, Lilyana Travis, Bennett Travis, William Travis Konner Keller, Abbie Keller, Lance Keller, Cooper Keller, Livia Diehl and Alex Diehl; sister Ellen Marie Hangen of Arcanum as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday April 22, 2018 in the Trinity Wesleyan Church 1400 East Main Street Greenville, Ohio with Pastors Rick Kavanaugh and Wes Lynch co- officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery Ft. Jefferson.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio and on Sunday 1 hour prior to the services in the church.

It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Trinity Wesleyan Church or State of The Heart Hospice of Darke County.

The Family would like to thank all the caregivers at the Village Green and the State of the Heart Hospice for all their wonderful care.
