Ralph W. Martin

Ralph W. Martin, age 90, of Centerville, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 3:10 PM at Symphony at Centerville.  He was born on December 15, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Walter & Marie (Creamer) Martin.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Ruth (Worth) Martin whom he married on November 27, 1976; sons and daughters in law, Matthew (Mary Joy) Martin of Alabama and Todd (Linda) Martin of Centerville, Ohio; daughter and son in law, Wendy (Ray) Pike of Massachusetts; step children, Raymond (Pamela) Gunn Jr. of New Carlisle, Ohio, Mary Grace (Joseph) Mansour of Texas, Gina (Michael) Volk of Washington Township, Ohio, and Jason Gunn of Springboro, Ohio; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step daughter, Michelle M. Gunn and sisters, Geraldine Wickens and Doris Coffelt.

Ralph retired as a Professional Civil Engineer and was a member of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict being honorably discharged on October 4, 1952.  He was a member of the Dayton Engineers Club and Fairhaven Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Centerville, Ohio.

There will be a service held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Todd Reish officiating.  Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.  Family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the charity of your choice.
