Susan V. Sleppy

Susan V. Sleppy, 88, of Greenville Ohio, passed peacefully at the Brethren Retirement Community on Friday, April 26, 2019.

She was born in September of 1930 in Miami County, Ohio to the late Daniel Deeter and Ora Alice (White) Stonerock.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Ramsey, Sr., Cletus "Red" Rantz, Nicholas Rhoades, and Robert "Bob" Sleppy; and her 14 brothers and sisters.

Susan was a 1948 graduate of Bradford High School and attended Miami Jacobs College receiving a clerical degree. She worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a secretary; Fram as a timekeeper and raw materials clerk; she worked at Desert Communities Federal Credit Union as a loan officer in Needles, California, and as a seamstress in Lebanon, Missouri.

Susan is survived by her children and their spouses, Russell and Herta Ramsey, Jr. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Deborrah and Terry Brown of Versailles, Ohio, and Letitia and Sam Rodriguez of Greenville, Ohio; her step-children and their spouses, Ed and Becky Sleppy, Joe and Tina Sleppy, and Joelle Sleppy; her six grandchildren, Eric Brown, Gregory Brown, Renate Melillo, Ingrid Milra, Aaron Rodriguez, and Kelly Sleppy, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Susan's life will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville campus, with Rev. Eric Fee officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive guests from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Susan's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of the BRC and State of the Heart Care for the compassion and care they provided.

The family requests memorials contribution be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 31 W. Whipp Road, Dayton, Ohio 45459.
