Arthur D. Ganger

Arthur D. Ganger, 82, of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.

He was born on December 5, 1936 in Montgomery County, Ohio to the late Henry and Opal (Eby) Ganger.

In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his son Randy Ganger; and his brother Eldon Ganger.

Arthur was a simple man who lived a simple life. He owned and operated a plastering company where he served the surrounding areas. After he retired, he began to travel the country as an evangelist sharing the Lord’s teachings. When Arthur returned to Darke County, he volunteered for the Community Action Center where he and his wife would prepare and deliver meals to those who were homebound.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Barbara Dillon, together they have shared 25 years; his children, Scott (Peggy) Ganger of Florida and Robert Ferrer of North Carolina; his six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; his sister Ruth Ann (Larry) Crowell of Englewood, Ohio; his brother, Dale (Barbara) Ganger of Arcanum; his wife’s children, Suzanne McNemar of Centerville, Ohio, Gary (Manina) Leigeber of Greenville, Keith (Rhonda) Leigeber of Franklin, Ohio, LaDeana ( Frank) Diver of Pitsburg, Ohio, and Matt (Carmen) Dillon; his wife’s eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Arthur’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus with Pastor Chris Barhorst officiating. Burial will follow at Union City Cemetery in Union City, Indiana.

Guests may visit with Arthur’s family on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home

Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Arthur to St. Judes Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis Tennessee.
