For A While

Hi, all!! The following is purely my opinion. It's also what I have
witnessed during my time on this earth. I am more than a little tired
of hearing this or that is "offensive" to me.
Life is full of "offensive things"...and paying attention to them is
what has gotten us where we are as a country.
Women working in a factory during WW1 was "offensive"...for a while.
Women getting the right to vote was "offensive"...for a while.
Women being in an active role in our military was "offensive"...for a
while.
Women getting abortions without telling the Father was offensive"...for
a while.
Women having children out of wedlock was "offensive"...for a while.
Women smoking cigarettes was "offensive"...for a while.
Women working a man's job and getting equal pay for it was
"offensive"...for a while.
Women working and buying property on their own merit was
"offensive"...for a while.
Women being alone in a bar, day or night, was "offensive"...for a while.
Women drinking alcohol was "offensive"...for a while.
Morphine was used on the battlefield during WW11. It made it's way to
the kiddies and was "offensive"...for a while.
Acid, Electric Kool-Aid, and the like in the 60's was "offensive"...for
a while.
Bath Salts, AngelDust, and other chemicals was "offensive",,,for a
while.
Eating Tide Pods, laying your hand on a red-hot electric burner (called
the "heat test") and seeing how long you can hold it there, putting an
all metal knife on your tongue..the other end on the arcing end of a
tazer and turning on the tazer...are all "offensive" and will be...for
a while.
If we keep looking at the "offensive" things and not to our lives and
how we relate to each other...it's only gonna get worse.
Does anyone else see a pattern here? Who'd like to see these same
people drinking alcohol?
