Versailles Bowling Week 5
JV Boys and Girls Bowling

After 5 weeks of competition, the Boys JV Bowling Team is in 2nd place at 4-1 behind St. Henry and Coldwater, both at 5-0. The boys had a tough match against Coldwater this past week. The match was very close going into the Baker Games. The 1st two games were 781-879 and 803-807. The Baker Games were 165-145, 165-187, 164-181, 150-166 and 202-148. It wasn’t quite enough for the boys as they lost by 25 pins, 2,428 to 2,453. The Tigers were led by Ryan Watren with 195 and 192 and John Poeppelman with a 177.

The Girls JV Bowling Team’s record after 5 weeks is 1-4. The Versailles Girls JV Team also had a close match against the St. Marys Roughriders. The 1st two games were 580-633 and 710-629. The Baker Games were 122-178, 98-127, 122-130, 171-157 and 169-138. The final score was 1,972 to 1,992. Leading scorers for the Tigers were Mandy Keiser with a 168 and Olivia Bruening with a 155.
