Dixie is waiting at the Animal Shelter for fur-ever home

The Darke County Animal Shelter has Dixie available for adoption.

She got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and is heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.

The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday 9am-11:30 am. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645

Dixie came to us as an owner surrender, due to a lifestyle change. We are told Dixie is a 5 year old spayed female German Shepherd Mix. Dixie has been around kids ages 8-10 years old that played ball and she loved it! Dixie and cats are not friends and she if you have another dog at home please bring in for a meet and greet! Dixie is housebroken but she loves to play outside especially if you are willing to play fetch all day long! Dixie is a very sweet girl who has shown us she knows how to sit, lay down and shake. Dixie walks great on a leash. Dixie did great for her exam where she weighs in at 80 lbs.
