How you can help

Volunteer Tutor

Work with students at different grade levels, from Kindergarten through eighth grade. Tutoring is Monday through Friday for K-4, 3:45 to 5 p.m.; Monday through Thursday for 5-8, 2:30 to 4 p.m. We work in the cafeteria at the new Greenville K-8 School on North Ohio. You will need to sign in at the Elementary or Middle School office. Wherever possible, we’ll assign students according to your preference. Basic training will be provided to new volunteers.

Program Volunteer

If you don’t feel you can effectively work with young people – or don’t have the hours available during regular tutoring times – you can still be a tremendous help. We need people to set up, promote and conduct fundraising events, talk to the community and friends about Empowering Darke County Youth, and promote our programs through social media. Regardless of your special talents, if you want to help… we have a job for you! We meet periodically to discuss fundraising efforts. Send us an email to be put on our Volunteer List for upcoming meetings and events.
