Daisy Mae (Wolf) Sturgill, 88, of Hollansburg, Ohio, went home to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her husband, Walter, on Monday, April 4, 2022.
She was born on February 23, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Howard and Daisy Mae (Tulley) Wolf.
In addition to her parents, Daisy was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Walter Sturgill, whom she marred on July 19, 1952, and passed away on October 27, 2020; and her siblings, Clark (Maxine) Wolf, Howard (Jean) Wolf, Sarah (Bill) Page, and Cindy (John) Boskins.
Daisy was a true child of God. She spent her life serving the Lord and raising her family. She and her husband, Walter, pastored at Hill Top Tabernacle in Connersville, Indiana. They even started their own mission in Hollansburg. Daisy served in the church in many ways throughout the years. She loved her beloved fuzzy white dog, Shadow. She also enjoyed going to secondhand stores and capturing the deals at yard sales.
Daisy is survived by her children, Larry Sturgill and his wife, Kathy, of Pineville, Kentucky, Angela Harris and her husband, Jerry, of New Paris, Ohio, and Donna Fries of Hollansburg; her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Daisy’s life will take place on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, New Madison Campus, with Pastor Rodney Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Hollansburg Cemetery.
The family will be receiving guests on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of the service at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home.
