Alan Lee Gessler age 62, of Greenville passed away at 8:40 pm Friday, December 22, 2023, in the ER at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.
Alan was born June 25, 1961, in Greenville to the late Elwood & June (Kissinger) Gessler. Alan was also preceded in death by a son, Heath Gessler; and a brother, Gary Gessler.
Alan is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen K. (Robison) Gessler whom he married June 21, 1980; sons & daughter-in-law, Mike & Amy Gessler of Ansonia and Seth & Brittany Gessler of Union City, Ohio; grandchildren, Autumn Gessler, Georgia Gessler and Cole Gessler; sister, Twila Jo Althouse of Greenville; and nieces, nephews and great nephews.
Alan farmed and formerly worked at Whiteford Food Products in Versailles, Emery Worldwide, Dick Lavy Trucking and Your Happy Place in Greenville. Alan was a member of Stelvideo Christian Church. He was a former 4-H Advisor.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Tracy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Stelvideo Christian Church.
