On June 12, 2025 at approximately 6:46 p.m., Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue and Greenville City Fire responded to the 4200 Block of State Route 571 in reference to a single vehicle accident with injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Black 2004 Harley Davidson, driven by David Sharp (61), of Greenville, was traveling east on State Route 571. Mr. Sharp had to swerve to avoid collision with a group of deer in the roadway, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle.
Mr. Sharp was transported to Wayne Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
This accident remains under investigation.
