ROSSBURG, OH — The famed Eldora Speedway’s annual “Let’s Race Two” doubleheader kicked off in thrilling fashion this weekend, featuring two of the most exciting dirt racing divisions: the USAC National Sprint Cars and the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars. Day one offered fans plenty of high-speed action and two standout performances, while unfortunately, day two was canceled due to inclement weather.

USAC Sprint Cars: Bacon Sizzles to Victory

In the USAC Sprint Car A-Feature, Brady Bacon delivered a masterclass in determination and control. Bacon finished fourth in his heat race and started the A-Feature from the third spot. Wasting no time, he quickly overtook pole-sitter Mitchel Moles and front-row starter Kyle Cummins, grabbing the lead early and never looking back.

The car #20 was untouchable once out front, and Bacon powered his way to the checkered flag for a convincing victory. The final top five in the USAC A-Feature were:

  2. Justin Grant (4) [6th starting position]
  3. Kyle Cummins (3P) [2nd]
  4. Mitchel Moles (19AZ) [1st]
  5. Robert Ballou (12) [8th]

World of Outlaws: Gravel Goes the Distance

In the World of Outlaws Sprint Car feature, David Gravel proved once again why he’s one of the series’ most formidable forces. After winning his heat and earning pole position, Gravel led wire-to-wire in the A-Feature, showcasing smooth consistency and blistering speed on the Eldora dirt.

Donny Schatz thrilled the crowd with a remarkable drive from 10th to 2nd, cutting through the field like a veteran on a mission. The final top five for the World of Outlaws A-Feature were:

  1. David Gravel (2)
  2. Donny Schatz (15) [10th starting position]
  3. Cole Macedo (2C) [12th]
  4. Logan Schuchart (1S) [14th]

Day Two Washed Out

Unfortunately, Mother Nature intervened and brought an abrupt end to the weekend. Due to persistent rain and unfavorable track conditions, the second night of racing was officially canceled. While a disappointment to fans and drivers alike, the spectacular performances on night one ensured that the “Let’s Race Two” weekend still delivered on adrenaline and excitement.
