GPL helps keep local kids fed this summer

0 0

This summer, Greenville Public Library is partnering with Children’s Hunger Alliance to ensure no child goes hungry while school is out.

Food distribution will begin on Monday, June 2nd from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Each weekly allotment is filled with shelf-stable staples that will feed one child. We will have supplies for 100 kids each week, with kits being first-come, first-served.

No pre-registration is required, but there is paperwork involved the first week, so parents need to accompany their children to get signed up.

Food distribution will occur every Monday, with the last pickup date designated for August 18. The pickup times of 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays will be followed for the duration of the program. Unfortunately, food can only be distributed during the designated pickup times on Mondays.
