The Ladywave bowlers bowled their hearts out, but it wasn’t enough in the end to stop Sidney.
Sidney got a good jump on game 1, but the girls battled back on game 2 bowling one of their best team games of the year. They cut the lead down to 27 going into the bakers, but Sidney rallied in the first baker with a 258 to our 160. In the end, it was just too much.
The coach Rich Hadden couldn’t be prouder to see how the girls came together and powered back on game 2 saying “We’re not out of this yet!” Great effort, girls!
The girls were led by Addy Arnett with a 192 high game and a 352 high series.
The girls will travel to bowl in the sectional match on Wednesday.

Many would look at the score and see that it the boys lost, but the coach looked at the score and saw a great night. It wasn’t the outcome anyone hoped for, but there were a lot of positives.
The boys had a rough start on their first game and got behind early, but they were able to stay close on game 2. They all came together for the bakers and were able to cut the lead almost in half, but Sidney was too far ahead for the boys to get within striking distance.
The positives were that we were able to stay come within 100 pins of beating a 17-1 team. It’s not uncommon to see them win by hundreds of pins.
The boys were led by senior Luke Kiser with a 202 high game and a 395 high series, a great way to finish his regular season high school career.
The boys will head to the sectional tournament on Thursday next week
