On May 14, 2025, at approximately 1644 hrs. Greenville Township Fire, Greenville Township Rescue, Greenville Police Department, Careflight and Darke County Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Childrens Home Bradford Road and US Route 127, Darke County, Ohio in reference to a two vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a white Chevy 2500 driven by a Maddie Sills (18) of Piqua, Ohio and her Juvenile passenger were traveling eastbound on Childrens Home Bradford Road. Maddie failed to yield the right-away at the intersection of Childrens Home Bradford Road and US Route 127. Maddie was struck by a white Ford F-250 driven by Jerry Smith (49), of Celina, Ohio, which was traveling northbound on US Route 127.
Maddie was transported to Wayne Health Care for her injuries and her Juvenile passenger was careflighted to Miami Valley. Jerry was treated at the scene.
The severities of their injuries are unknown at this time.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
