Richard Lee Miller Jr., age 83 of Beavercreek, Ohio formerly of Versailles, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Traditions of Beavercreek. Richard was born on December 14,1941 , in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late Richard Lee Miller Sr and Margaret (Baltes) Miller.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Julia Hilgefort and his brother, David Miller.
He is survived by his wife Alta (Young) Miller, whom he married on April 12, 1975. His son,
Chad (Yiting) Miller; his grandchildren, Ian Miller, Ryan Miller and Leanne Miller. He is also survived by siblings, Janet Raspet and Judy Miller, as well as many extended family members and friends.
After graduating from Versailles High Schools, Richard served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He also attended the University of Dayton and worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as an engineer. He loved flying and even owned his own plane.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at St, Valberts Cemetery in Versailles with Pastor Tony Price officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
It was Richard’s wishes that memorial contributions be given to the Cincinnati Children Hospital Medical Center, 3333 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229
