Meet the magnificent Athena, a true gentle giant! This lovely 5-year-old female Great Dane mix came to us as an owner surrender, and we’ve learned some wonderful things about her. Her previous owners shared that Athena was excellent with their children and cats and is housebroken. They described Athena as a very affectionate girl who listens well to voice commands and, as an added bonus, isn’t one to snatch food off the counter! Athena has already shown us her impressive manners, knowing how to sit and shake, and she’s always happy to accept a treat. This sweet girl is also learning to walk nicely on a leash. Athena did great for her exam where she weighed in at 93 lbs.
Meet Patsy – A Sweet Senior Ready for Her Forever Home! Patsy is a gentle soul who came to us as an owner surrender, through no fault of her own. After spending her earlier years as a breeding dog, she’s now retired and ready to enjoy the comfort and love of a forever family. We’ve been told Patsy is an 8-year-old female Lab. Don’t let her age fool you—Patsy still has plenty of love to give and absolutely adores attention from people. Her previous owners shared that she’s great with dogs and children, though we’re not sure yet how she does with cats. Patsy has shown us she knows how to sit, enjoys treats and loves to play ball and is learning to walk nicely on a leash. She’s affectionate girl who’s been relaxed and friendly around other dogs here at the shelter. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion to share your days with, Patsy might just be the perfect match. Patsy did great for her exam where she weighed in at 69.5 lbs.
Chester is a sweet older gentleman who came to us as an owner surrender, through no fault of his own. He spent his earlier years as a breeding dog and is now retired, hoping to find a loving forever home where he can enjoy his golden years. We’ve been told Chester is a 9-year-old intact male Lab. His previous owners shared that he’s good with dogs and children, though we’re unsure how he does with cats. Chester has always lived outdoors, so he may need a little time and patience to adjust to indoor life. Despite his age, Chester is full of love and thrives on attention. He already knows how to sit, shake, likes treats, loves to play ball and truly enjoys being outside. He’s a super friendly guy who enjoys spending time with people and has been calm and comfortable around other dogs at the shelter. Chester is also learning to walk nicely on a leash and is making great progress. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion, Chester would love to be your new best friend. Chester did great for his exam where he weighed in at 119 lbs.
