Get ready, race fans—Eldora Speedway is back in action Monday, June 17, and it’s coming back with a bang! The legendary Jack Hewitt Challenge returns with a full-throttle lineup featuring both All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars and 410 Non-Wing Sprints—just the way the Dirt Racing Hall of Famer himself would want it: Wings AND No Wings!
The Action Heats Up
This year’s Jack Hewitt Challenge marks a special night on the calendar. Eldora plays host to Stop #5 of the Ohio Sprint Speedweek, an annual barnstorming tour that brings the best sprint car racers in the country to the Buckeye State. The All Star feature will pay $7,500 to win and $500 to start, giving drivers plenty of incentive to go elbows up around the high banks.
For the non-wing warriors, it’s a no-sanction, all-out brawl with a $3,000 winner’s prize and $3,000 in lap money and bonus awards sweetening the pot. Group qualifying by heat race, a heat invert of four, and a feature lineup based on heat finishes ensures unpredictable action all night long.

A Night for Hewitt
Jack Hewitt made his mark in both winged and non-wing sprint cars—and the Challenge named in his honor captures that spirit perfectly. From the smooth precision of the winged stars to the sideways slide jobs of the non-wing daredevils, June 17 is shaping up to be a throwback to classic Eldora chaos.
Wings. No wings.
Just the way Hewitt likes it.
Be there. Feel the thunder.
