William Richard Oliver Sr., age 80, of Dayton passed away at 2:28 pm Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
William was born July 13, 1943, in Versailles to the late George W. & Ruthanna (Ward) Oliver. He is also preceded in death by a son, Brett A. Oliver.
William is survived by his life partner, Belinda Richmond; children, William Oliver II of Vandalia, Ohio, and Beth Oliver & Greg Luebbe of Wyoming, Ohio; step son, Ian Richmond of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashton (Dieringer) & Adam Voisard, Mickey & Abi Graham, William R. & Katlyn Oliver III, Robert A. Oliver and Rochelle Oliver; great granddaughter, Palmer Oliver; siblings, Terry & Sandy Oliver of Clinton, New Jersey, Judy & Ron Schultz of Covington, Ohio, Joe & Barbara Oliver of St. Louis, Missouri, and Tim & Lois Oliver of Lebanon, Ohio; his beloved pets, Bo Kitty and Dora; and numerous nieces and nephews.
William was a 1961 graduate of Versailles High School and a graduate of Wright State University. William retired from The Reynolds & Reynolds Company where he was an accountant. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping, swimming and traveling.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 19, 2024, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will follow in Brock Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O.
