MARCH 11, 1957 – DECEMBER 27, 2022
Alvin Nelson Garland, “Sonny”, age 65 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 5:45 PM. Born on March 11, 1957 he was a son to the late Maynard & Amanda (Gray) Garland. Alvin loved to be outdoors; playing horseshoes, fishing, camping; he could sit in the sun for hours. More than anything he was a loving husband, and father to his son, Nicholas. He will be truly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Charles Garland: sister Betty Yount.
Survived by his wife of 21 years, Elizabeth (Neal) Garland: son/step-son Nicholas Neal: siblings Earl Garland; Ray & Carol Garland; Jerry Garland; Eddie Garland; JoAnn & Richard Perdue; Jack Garland: brother-in-law AJ Yount: nephews James Garland; Richard Garland: as well as several more nieces and nephews, friends and family.
