Angela “Ange” J. Sanders

Angela “Ange” J. Sanders, 72, Greenville, Ohio, passed away early Friday morning, August 19, 2022, at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville.

She was born on September 11, 1949, in Greenville, to the late Clarence Bowers and Margaret (Richardson) Devor.

In addition to her parents, Ange was preceded in death by her stepfather, Harold Devor; her brother, Robert Bowers; and her grandmother, Anna Richardson.

Ange was born and raised in Darke County and enjoyed the local community and festivals. She loved going to the Great Darke County Fair, Poultry Days, and traveling. She made numerous trips to Florida and Tennessee to visit with friends, family, and camping. She always looked forward to visiting the Smokey Mountains and Disney Theme Parks. She had a special place in her heart for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, even going so far as to getting a tattoo of them. Ange LOVED to listen to and support Noah Back and would travel far and wide to attend his concerts. She liked to keep busy with puzzles, coloring, Bingo, and the occasional gambling trip with friends. She adored her family and was her grandchildren’s biggest fan and supporter. She would always be there for all their events.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Michael Sanders of Greenville, whom she married on December 28, 1989; her children, Chris (Misty) Harter of Stuart, Florida, Lisa (Bruce) Saylor of Greenville, Mindy (Jamie) McGlinch of Greenville; her step-children, Brian (April) Sanders of Greenville, and Carol (Johnny) Hamilton of Greenville; her grandchildren, Brittanie Claywell, Darian (Kayla) Saylor, Kiersten (Dale) Bowling III, Katey (Jeremy) Beaver, Jordan (Chris) Hess, Madi Harter, Mia Harter, Brian (Alyssa) Sanders, Ryan Sanders, Tiffany (Michael) Bilbrey, Cameron (Megan) Sanders, Velvet (Austin) Emerick, and Lacey Matthews. Ange also leaves behind her sister, Rebecca (Virgil) Siefring of Greenville; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene (Norman) Weaver of Swanton, Ohio, Sandy (Fred) Welch of Union City, Ohio, and Audrey (James Nave) Minnick of New Paris, Ohio; her dog, Sami; and numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family.

A celebration of Ange’s life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville campus. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

Her family will be receiving guests on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
