Becky Harshman, age 66 of Union City, IN passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 28, 2023. She was born on August 24, 1956, the eldest daughter of Gene and Bennie Meinerding.
She attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School as a child and was a 1994 graduate of Union City Community High School. After high school Becky graduated from Professional Career Institute in Indianapolis and became a licensed medical assistant. She worked for Doctors Watkins and Winner in Winchester, IN then for Doctor James Appleman and Doctor Rick Bowlin in Greenville. Becky went to work as a pharmacy tech at Rite-Aid in Union City and she has spent the last 17 years with Kaup Pharmacy in Union City. She loved spending time with her grandchildren in her spare time.
Becky is survived by her father Gene, her husband Greg whom she married on August 2, 1980, her children Abby and Jay, three grandchildren, Mason, Carlos, and Mya. She is also survived by a brother Tony Meinderding of Saudi Arabia, a sister JoAnn (Todd) Keen of Union City, OH, two aunts, an uncle, a sister-in-law, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her grandparents, and a nephew.
Visitation will take place on Saturday June 3, 2023, at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road, Union City, IN from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 2:00pm. A burial will follow in Union City Cemetery.
