Betty Copeland age 84, of Greenville passed away at 6:30 pm Sunday, August 21, 2022, at her residence.
Betty was born April 7, 1938, in Union City, Ohio, to the late Lewis “Pete” & Pauline (Welker) Maloy. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. Copeland on March 8, 1992, whom she married May 26, 1956; grandson, Jamie Copeland; brothers, Jerry “Jake” Maloy & Lewis “Louie” Maloy; and sisters, Rose Ann Partridge & Margaret Hawes.
Betty is survived by her children, Dan & Teresa Copeland of Union City, Ohio, and Shari Copeland of Greenville; grandchildren, Lacie Copeland, Tracie Shuff, Matt Hunt and Wade Hunt; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Tom Maloy of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nieces.
Betty retired from Fram Corporation in Greenville with over 30 years of service.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Arnold Wynn and Pastor Dennis Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Snell Cemetery in Darke County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
