Carolyn L. Castle age 89, of Ansonia passed away at 2:25 pm Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Ayden Healthcare in Greenville.
Carolyn was born September 10, 1933, in Ansonia to the late Levi & Grace (Barga) Midlam. Carolyn is also preceded in death by her sisters, Lillian Fosnaugh and Thelma Staver; and brothers, Chester and Russel Midlam.
Carolyn left behind the love of her life, James Castle, her husband. Carolyn didn’t have any children, but most of the neighborhood called them aunt and uncle. Also dear to Carolyn’s heart was Sharon Lyme, her niece who lived with them for a period of time. Sharon’s children, Michael, Lori and Jeff called her grandma as did other families children. Her nieces and nephews will miss Auntie as she always had a loving kiss and hug for all of us.
Carolyn and her husband owned a bar known as Castle’s Corner for years in Ansonia. Carolyn retired from the Telephone Company in Greenville where she worked for many years.
