Cheryl Kay Puissant

OCTOBER 12, 1957 – MARCH 9, 2023

Cheryl Kay (Hartzell) Puissant passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2023, under the compassionate care of EverHeart Hospice with her loving family by her side after a brief illness that she courageously fought.

Cheryl was born October 12th, 1957, in Greenville, Ohio, to Charlene (Bowman) Hartzell of Greenville and the late Charles Hartzell. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Hartzell; son-in-law, Jorge Bahena; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin & Mary Puissant Sr.; and sisters-in-law, Cindy Puissant and Christine Puissant.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, John Puissant whom she married November 8th, 1986; daughters & son-in-law, Tracy Bahena and Sheila & Chris Larson; grandchildren, Tyler Libbey, Dylan & Brianna Cook, Kayla Bahena & Kolin, Daniel Gonzales & Stephanie, Dawsyn Larson, Davyn Larson and Isabella Bahena; great-grandchildren, Omar Bahena, Jake Bahena, Krew Sanders and Emery “Birdie” Cook; brothers & sisters-in-law, Larry & Sylvia Hartzell, Thomas & Peggy Hatzell and Michael & Donna Hartzell; brothers-in-law, Robert & Mary Puissant and Edwin Puissant Jr.; special cousin, Robert & Charlene Hartzell; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cheryl retired from Brown Tank in St. Paul, Minnesota. Cheryl loved traveling with her husband and making new friends all over the country.
