Christina D. Pitzer, age 87 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 7:40 AM at the Village Green Nursing Home, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Everton, England on December 7, 1935 she was the daughter to the late Wilfred & Gertrude (Holgate) Nicholson. Christina was a former member of the Greenville Area Dog Club, she loved all dogs, especially sheltie dogs. Throughout life she worked various food service industry jobs. She loved flowers and gardening, and enjoyed painting landscaping, country scenes, cottages and mills with her oil paints. Christina loved to spend time with her family; she will be truly missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Don Pitzer: son Mark Pitzer: daughters Michelle Smith; Melinda Stacy: brother in England, Kenneth Nicholson.
Survived by her children Marcia & Wayne Arnold; Susan & Jeff Kolling: son-in-law William Stacy: grandchildren Rachael & Mark Gray; Zachary & Morgan Batten; Gabriel Batten; Chris Langdon; Michael & Sam Arnold; Sara & Kevin Romer; Jessica & Agam Melmed; Emily Kolling:14 great-grandchildren: 2 great-great-grandchildren: sister-in-laws Shirley Nicholson of England; Nancy & Marion Durham of Arizona: as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Funeral held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Todd Reish presiding. Burial to follow at Greenville Union Cemetery, Greenville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenville Rescue Squad or American Cancer Society.
