From August 18-31, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over”, a national enforcement campaign that focuses on law enforcement’s goal to stop drunk drivers. The campaign highlights a constant police presence searching for drunk drivers as a way of deterring people from drinking and driving.
Here are some tips from the campaign:
– Before drinking, plan a safe and sober ride home
– Don’t let someone get behind the wheel if they’ve been drinking
– If you’re hosting a gathering, make sure your guests have a sober ride home
– If you see an impaired driver, call 911.
