DCCA Arts in Education presents Emmy-Award Winning Robert Post

Darke County Center for the Arts opens its Arts In Education series the week of September 20 by presenting Emmy-Award winning performer Robert Post to fourth through sixth graders in all Darke County Public and Greenville City schools. “This multi-media show empowers students to see the uniqueness inside each of them and all of us,” DCCA Artistic Director David Warner states. “In addition to Robert Post’s antics live on stage, film of kids talking directly to kids will inform as well as entertain, making for an ideal Arts In Education presentation,” Mr. Warner concluded.

Robert Post’s award-winning charismatic comic feast uses body language, mask, music, and more to create a host of unforgettable characters who invite audiences to participate in the zany world Post creates with his antics. “He’s an entire theatre company himself, specializing in rapid-fire character changes responding to the age levels and interests of his audience,” Mr. Warner explained. Post has performed for young audiences in countless settings including New York’s Lincoln Center Institute, as well as at the Alberta International Children’s Festival in Canada, and the Festival Internacional Chihuahua in Mexico. Additionally, his internationally broadcast PBS special, Robert Post—In Performance won the Central Education Network Award for Best Performance Program.

DCCA’s Art In Education program annually presents high-quality performing artists to students at all grade levels in every local public school at no charge to the students. DCCA Arts In Education is made possible by support from Park National Bank, Bach to Rock, Greenville Federal, Maid-Rite Sandwich Shoppe, Darke County Foundation, Edison State Community College, Jordan Insurance Agency, Gordon & DeSantis Orthodontics, Family Health, Greenville Rotary, the John R. and Miriam H.
