Emily Tuco

May 3, 1936 — April 6, 2024

Emily D Tuco, age 87 of Hollansburg, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Troy Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She was born on May 3, 1936 in Wooton, KY to the late Lou and Maudie Wells.

In addition to her parents, Emily is preceded in death by her husband, John Tuco; son, Marshall Wells; brother, Estill Wells; sisters, Ethel, Delphia, Dally, Rebecca, Lula, Alice, Mary, and Ruth; great granddaughter, Katlyn Nestor; grandson, Joey Davenport; and great grandson, Jeremiah Tuco.

Those left to cherish Emily’s memory include her daughters, Carmelisa (Terry) Miles of Hollansburg, Barbara (Greg) Davenport of Brookville, Ohio, Rebecca George of Greenville, Sandra Smith of Bradford, Ohio, and Carol Weyrick of Greenville; sons, John (Kathy) Tuco and Robert (Cindy) Tuco, all of Greenville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Emily loved flowers and gardening, canning, and being outdoors. She was a very kind and giving person, her family meant the absolute world to her. She worked for many years at Downings Fruit Farm and Huffy in Richmond, IN. Emily enjoyed quilting, mushroom hunting, music, siting on the porch with anybody who would like to join her, and cooking. She was a kind, gentle, and caring soul. Emily was very loved by everybody who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of Emily’s life will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus with Pastor Tony Price officiating.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the start of service. Interment will follow the celebration of life at Friendship Cemetery. The family requests that guest dress casually and comfortably.
