APRIL 22, 1957 – AUGUST 30, 2022
Gary Cain, 65 of Greenville passed away on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022 after being diagnosed in November 2021 with glioblastoma, a rare brain cancer.
Gary retired from BASF in 2019 and enjoyed summer vacations with his grandkids, riding his motorcycle, hanging out with friends, and cutting, splitting, and stacking wood.
Gary was the son of Dick and Fidebell Cain and the son in law of Jack and Janice Oswalt who all preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Braylon Cain.
Gary leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Beth (Oswalt) Cain, his son, Matthew (Chasity) Cain and his daughter, Leah (Ben) Shepherd, his grandchildren; Mikayla, and Hunter Cain and Valerie and Ezekiel Shepherd. He also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Marilyn Cain and their sons Rick (Chelsea) and Doug (Danette) Cain as well as several nieces and nephews.
Gary’s life will be celebrated on September 9, 2022 at J&J Enterprises, 3785 State Route 502, Greenville, Ohio from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please donate to EverHeart Hospice in Gary’s name.
