Gloria A. Harpest

Gloria A. Harpest, 70, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on the morning of Saturday, March 12, 2022.

She was born on May 9, 1951, in Darke County, daughter of Russel and Martha (Beery) Harpest.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nephew, Ted Harpest.

Gloria was the Assistant Vice President, Human Resource Officer of Greenville National Bank. She retired in April 2021, serving 50 years at GNB. Gloria was a faithful and involved member of Faith Baptist Church. She had a passion for missions and served as an Awana leader, impacting children for Christ for 43 years.

She was fun, full of energy and had a smile that lit up a room, making each person she met feel valued and important. She owned and operated J’s Country Store and Catering and enjoyed golfing and visiting family and friends. She was hardworking, loyal and an esteemed colleague and devoted sister, aunt and friend. Her cheerfulness, love and dedication inspire many. In true Gloria style, she kept busy till the very end, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Gloria is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Sharon Harpest of Greenville; her sister and brother-in-law, Rosalie and Frank Zelnick of Stuart, Florida; her nieces and nephews, Lyndie and Nathan Sabin, Karie and David Farley, Kaci and Thomas Gessaman, Nicole and Eddie DeLaRosa, Nathan and Valerie Meisner, Philip and Meaghan Meisner, and Holden Meisner; as well as great nieces and nephews, Austin, Adrienne and Abrielle Sabin, Joshua Gessaman, Penelope DeLasRosa, Molly, Alex and Rachel Meisner, and Augustus Meisner.

A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastors Nathan Sabin and Bill Dobson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
