Drugs

On July 2, 2023 at approximately 7PM police observed who then officer identified as Thomas Lee riding a bicycle in front of 200 Lease Avenue, Kroger. Police had prior knowledge that Thomas had a warrant for his arrest through the Miami County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a theft offense. Then officer exited his cruiser and made contact with Thomas, advising him of the warrant. Dispatch confirmed the warrant and Thomas was placed under arrest into handcuffs. Thomas was then searched with nothing located at the time. Police placed Thomas into the backseat of the cruiser. Police then re opened the door to ask Thomas a question when police observed a crushed white crystal substance laying along the floor board where Thomas was sitting. The unknown substance was not there when Thomas was placed into the cruiser. Thomas was then read his Miranda Warning which he stated that he understood. Thomas stated the substance was not his and he did not put it there. After reviewing cruiser video Thomas can be seen taking an unknown item out from behind his back and crumbling it before placing it on the side of the seat. The substance was placed into property at the Greenville Police Department and will be sent to the lab for testing. Thomas was transported to the intersection of of US 36 and State Route 721, where he was released to P.0. Alexander with Piqua PD. Thomas’ bicycle was placed into property at the Hart Avenue Garage for safekeeping.

Wanted Person

On July 3, 2023 at 6:27 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Sweitzer Street in reference to a harassment complaint. The complainant advised it was an African American Male with black hair, a blue heavy coat, black pants and a white shirt. Police observed a male known to police as Larry Hall wearing this exact clothing description walking West bound in the 700 block of East Main Street. Police also had prior knowledge that Larry Hall has an active warrant out of the police department. Police made contact with the male and positively identified him as Larry. Police advised Larry that he had a warrant and to place his hands behind his back. Larry complied and police placed him in handcuffs. Police searched Larry incident to arrest and no contraband was located. GPD dispatch confirmed the warrant though the police department for failure to appear for littering, with a bond of $1,025. Larry was placed in the rear seat of the cruiser and transported to the DCSO jail without incident. After being arrested, Larry stated “Prickett, I will find out where you live. I hope you and your kids sleep good tonight”.

Sex offense

On July 3, 2023 at approximately 4PM police responded to 402 Plum Street reference a sex offense that occurred elsewhere in the City of Greenville. Police made contact with the complainant, Ashley Littlepage. Ashley stated that she was walking her dog home from the YOLO Park on Martin Street at approximately 3:30PM today. Ashley stated that she noticed a silver Ford single cab truck parked in the AutoZone parking lot. Ashley stated that the truck pulled out and pulled up beside her near the 200 block of Martin Street and the driver asked her if she wanted to make some money. Ashley asked how and the driver stated, “Suck my dick”. Ashley stated that she told him she was going to get his license plate and call the police. Ashley stated the truck then left. Ashley stated the truck had a handicap placard hanging from the mirror and she believed the license plate was Z96ZGZ. Ashley stated that the driver was a male, approximately 45-50 years old, with glasses, a scruffy beard, and gray hair. Ashley also stated that the driver had a receding hair line. Ashley filled out a written statement and victims rights form. AutoZone does not have any exterior cameras and none of the employees witnessed this incident. Police also did not observe any exterior cameras in the immediate area and the license plate that was provided is not valid. At this time there are no further leads and no suspects. Nothing Further.

Theft

On July 3rd 2023 at 7:16 PM police was dispatched to 201 E. Third St. Greenville, OH 45331 in reference to a theft. Police spoke with complainant and home owner Allen Driscoll. Allen advised that while he was at work between the hours of 5:45AM and 6:15PM someone had broke into his home and stole his black Xbox series X and unplugged the wifi router. Allen stated that no other objects were missing from the house. Allen stated he had cameras at every entrance of house but was unable to capture anything due to the internet being disconnected. Allen believed that the back door was forced open due to the door trim being pulled back. Photos were taken of the back door. Upon further investigation it was concluded that there were no signs of forced entry from the back door. Allen advised that he was unsure who would’ve broken into his house. After later returning on scene with to collect DNA evidence, Allen stated that the Xbox was a gift from his ex-wife Amanda Thacker. Allen then stated that Amanda did have the code to the front door and that she was last at the residence June 30th and July 1st. After collecting evidence and leaving the scene, police spoke with Allen over the phone who stated that he received an e-mail from Amanda saying she gathered her items and all items that she gave to Allen as a gift, including the XBox. After collecting all evidence, police advised Allen this is going to be a civil issue due to Amanda having permission to be there and all items removed from the house were hers or purchased by her.

Domestic Violence

On July 4, 2023 at approximately 5:04PM police responded to 309 Cypress Street reference a possible domestic dispute between Connie Blum and Amba Cook who are mother and daughter. Police made contact with Connie and her 15 year old grandson on the front porch. Connie stated that earlier today she picked her daughter, Amba, up from Union City. Connie brought Amba back to 309 Cypress Street so she could go to a probation meeting in the morning. Connie stated that Amba was sitting on the couch and began screaming for “Jimmy Miller”. Connie stated that Amba then got up and went into her bedroom to talk to the kids. Connie stated that when Amba went to leave the room she turned around and grabbed Connie, pushing her against the wall. Connie stated that Amba began screaming at her and stated that she was going to kill her. Connie stated that she was scared and believed that Amba was going to cause her physical harm. Connie stated that the grandson separated them. Connie filled out a written statement and a victims rights form. Connie has custody of her grandson and gave police permission to speak to him. He stated that he heard Amba begin screaming when she left the room. He stated he could not make out what she was saying, but when he came out of his room, Amba had Connie pushed up against the wall and was screaming at her. He then separated them. He stated that he did believe that Amba was going to cause Connie physical harm. He filled out a written statement. Connie and Amba last lived together approximately 3 years ago. Amba was then placed under arrest into handcuffs. Amba was read her Miranda Warning which she stated that she understood. Amba was then transported to the Darke County Jail where she was released to jail staff. Amba was issued a copy of her citation for Domestic Threats and advised of her court date.

Domestic Violence

On July 4, 2023 at approximately 6:06PM police responded to 119 Sweitzer Street reference a domestic dispute. Police made contact with Roberta Snow in the front yard. Roberta resides at 119 Sweitzer Street with her grandson, Chris Snow, and Chris’ wife Shannon Greene. Also residing at the residence are Shannon’s two children. Roberta stated that the kids were sitting on the kitchen counter while Shannon was making dinner. Roberta stated that she did not want them on the counter so she grabbed them and took them off. Roberta stated that Shannon did not want her doing that and a verbal argument ensued. Roberta stated that during the argument she believed Shannon was going to strike her so she grabbed Shannon by the throat. Roberta stated that they both fell to the floor, and Shannon jumped on top of her and began striking her in the back. Roberta stated that her grandson, Chris Snow then arrived home and separated them. After Chris helped both Shannon and Roberta to their feet, Roberta swung back her arm before back handing Shannon across the face. Roberta admitted it was because Shannon called her a rude name. Roberta stated that Christopher separated them and took her to the front living room. Roberta stated that once there she had grabbed a hold of Chris’ beard and was pulling on it. That is when Chris struck Roberta in the face. Roberta did not want to fill out a statement and did not want Chris to get in trouble. Roberta had a scratch on her chest and a scratch on her arm. Roberta also admitted that she told the children not to call the police during the altercation. Police then spoke to Shannon. Shannon stated that she and Roberta were in a verbal argument over the kids being on the kitchen counter. Shannon stated that during the argument, Roberta became aggressive and grabbed her by the throat. Shannon stated that they both fell to the ground, and fearing of what Roberta was going to do next, she got on top of her and held her to the ground while the kids called the police. Shannon stated that once Chris got home he separated them and helped them both up. Shannon stated that once they were both up, Roberta struck her in the face. Shannon stated that Chris then took Roberta out to the front room to prevent another altercation. Shannon had a visible scratch on her nose and several scratches on her arms. Shannon also complained about a busted lip. Shannon stated that she did not strike Roberta during this incident. Shannon filled out a written statement and a victims rights form. Police then spoke to Chris. Chris stated that he got a call from Shannon and heard a lot of yelling in the back ground so he came home. When he got home he stated that Shannon was on top of Roberta, appearing to hold her down. Chris stated that he did not see Shannon strike Roberta. Chris stated that he helped both of them up. Chris stated that when they got up, Roberta struck Shannon in the face with her hand. Chris stated that he then grabbed Roberta and took her to the living room to prevent another altercation. Chris stated that Roberta was attempting to bite him and scratch him while he was doing this. Chris then stated that when he put her down into her chair, he slapped her in the face. Chris filled out a written statement. Chris also had three scratch marks on the side of his neck. Roberta was found to be the primary aggressor and was placed under arrest into handcuffs. Roberta was then transported to the Darke County Jail where she was released to Jail staff. Photos were taken of all three subjects involved.

Trash/Dumping

On 7-5-23 police observed at 201 Tiffin St. trash on the property and spoke with Richard Best who is in the process of purchasing the property from his sister, Melissa Smith. He is remodeling the home and had thrown the contents from inside the house into the yard. Police spoke with Richard’s wife last week letting her know police would be by to issue a notice. They have already started to clean up some items and placed bigger items into piles near the alley to await pickup. They were given 30 days due to the on going remodel. Richard stated he will attempt to clear the debris and take trash to the dump more often so the property doesn’t look so bad. Police will check the property on 8-4-23. SSD Delk and zoning were advised by email.

Dead Person

On July 6, 2023 at approximately 10:39 AM police was dispatched to 628 Wayne Avenue in reference to an individual thought to be deceased. Police observed an elderly female behind the residence. Greenville Township Rescue arrived and determined the female to be deceased. Coroner’s Investigator Joe Vanvickle and Detective Dickmann along with Detective Wolfe arrived on the scene to assist. The deceased was transported by Greenville Township Rescue to 835 Sweitzer Street; Wayne Healthcare per the request of Coroner’s Investigator Vanvickle.

Dead Person

On July 6, 2023 at approximately 11:49 AM police was dispatched to 1024 Chestnut Circle in reference to an individual thought to be deceased. Police observed an elderly female inside of the residence. Greenville Township Rescue arrived on the scene at the same time and determined the female to be deceased. Coroner’s Investigator Joe Vanvickle and Detective Dickmann arrived on the scene to assist along with Detective Wolfe. The deceased was released to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home per the request of Coroner’s Investigator Vanvickle.

Vehicle Theft

On July 6, 2023 at approximately 9:56 PM police responded to 122 West Main Street, Greenville Police Department, reference a theft complaint that occurred elsewhere in the City of Greenville. Police made contact with the victim, Scott Fansler. Scott stated that at approximately 8:00 PM this evening he noticed that his white and black homemade trailer and red Toro zero turn riding lawn mower (290004493) were missing from his residence at 1324 Sweitzer Street #Dl7. Scott stated that the mower was kept on the trailer and the trailer was in his driveway. Scott stated that the trailer has Ohio registration UAH4890. Scott stated that the trailer has a white floor and black railings on the side. Scott stated that the last time he remembers seeing the trailer was on the morning of 7/5/23. Scott stated that he uses the mower for his side business, and has already contact his customers to see if he accidently left it at one of their homes. Scott stated it is not at any of his customers. Scott stated that he has also spoken to management at the Trailer Park he lives at and their cameras do not reach the front driveway. Scott stated he also does not have any cameras at his house. Scott did advise that on the evening of 7/5/23, two male subjects in a blue sedan drove by his house and attempted to make entry into his vehicle before he was able to confront them. Scott stated that he does not know if this could be related and was unable to provide a license plate or description of the subjects. Scott filled out a written statement and a victims rights form. Scott was also able to provide photos of the missing trailer and lawn mower that will be placed into the briefing log and attached to this report. The trailer was entered into LEADS/NCIC as stolen and a BOLO was sent out to surrounding counties. Police also spoke to employees at Speedway; 1350 Sweitzer Street to see if they have cameras that face the driveway for 1324 Sweitzer Street. They were unable to check at the time and advised to call back during the day to speak with a manager. At this time there are no leads or suspects. This case will need further investigation.
