Greenville Varsity Baseball Storm Back to Defeat Fairborn.
Greenville trailed by 7, but came back to best Fairborn Monday, 9-8.
Greenville tied the game in the bottom of the 4th thanks to a single by Titus Eberwein, and error, and a single by Braeden Wills.
In the bottom of the 5th, Greenville broke up the tie when Cole Oswalt singled, scoring one run. Then a double by Quentin Garner followed to extend the lead to 9-7.
Adam Edwards pitched five innings in relief for Greenville. He surrendered six hits and one run while striking out 4 and no walks.
The Wave accumulated 9 hits in the game. Trevor Mardin provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Greenville with 3 RBI’s. Wills and T. Eberwein both provided two hits for the Wave.
