Greenwave: Girls and Boys Varsity Bowling lose to Sidney

The Greenwave Varsity Bowling teams hosted Sidney in a home match.

The Greenville Girls Bowling Team were back and forth in their match that came down to less than a spare.

The Lady Wave started out with a 43 pin deficit after Game 1.  They got fired up and came back winning the 2nd game and cutting that deficit almost in half.  The girls gave up 8 pins on the 1st baker and needed 33 pins to win.  The girls gave it a valiant effort, but came up just short in the last baker 130 – 107.

There was lots of excitement and cheering… what a great match!  Marissa Boney led the Wave with a 163 high game and a 308 high series.

The boys came out swinging in the first game.  They were only 10 pins behind the #1 team in the league after game 1.  The boys weren’t able to maintain it going forward and dropped down every game after that.  Luke Kiser led the boys today with a 214 high game and a 377 high series

The teams will take on Tippecanoe at home today, Wednesday.
