OCTOBER 9, 1932 – JANUARY 13, 2024
Jo Ann (Taylor) Ashman, 91 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday January 13, 2024 at 3:38 PM at the Brethren Retirement Community. Jo Ann was born October 9, 1932 in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lloyd William and Anna Mary (Turner) Taylor.
Jo Ann worked for 20 years at Whirlpool; she was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was very active; she was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Eastern Star. She also served as a Cub Scout Den Leader.
Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert L. Ashman on August 5, 2008 whom she married September 28, 1951; her son in law, Duane Miller; her brothers in law, William “Elmer” Clark, and James Bunch.
Jo Ann is survived by her children and spouses, Becky Miller of Greenville, Jim and Vickie Ashman of New Bremen, Mark and Kim Ashman of Mason, Jeff and Jennifer Ashman of Union City, Ohio; her grandchildren, Jennifer (J.B.) Ashman-Wibbler, Rob (Hilary) Ashman, Ben Jones, and Brittany (Doug) Ashman-Dremluk; 7 great grandchildren; 1 Great great granddaughter; her sisters, Kay Bunch of Arcanum, Ronda Clark of Greenville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday January 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Gary Blacklidge officiating. Burial will be held privately at Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice.
