SEPTEMBER 4, 1932 – NOVEMBER 2, 2022

Kathleen M. Cromwell, “Kathy”, age 90, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday night, November 2, 2022 at The Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio. Kathy was born September 4, 1932 in North Star, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gustav and Elenora (Sanders) Rismiller. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1950. She married William Cromwell on February 2, 1951. Kathy worked at the Chamber of Commerce with the Community Chest and for several years in the office of U.S. Chemical Company in Greenville. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and later at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Greenville. Kathy enjoyed bowling and golfing with ladies’ leagues, camping with Ft. Greenville Camping Club, and playing cards with family and various groups of friends. She was an active member of the local support group of NAMI and later Kathy joined the Tri-County Mental Health Board as a board member.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband on January 26, 2012; her brother Romain Rismiller; sister Joan Sellman; and son-in-law Noel E. Kaech.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Beverly Kaech of Springfield; her son and daughter-in-law David and Alice Cromwell of Dallas, TX; son Daniel Cromwell of Greenville; and her grandchildren Emily Cromwell of Dallas, TX and Nicholas Cromwell of Ft. Worth, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive family and friends on Saturday, November 12, from 10:00 AM—11:30 AM at Zechar-Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM with Pastor Alan Knoke officiating. Interment will follow at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 131 E. Fourth St., Greenville, OH and to the Recovery and Wellness Centers of Midwest Ohio, 600 Walnut St., Greenville, OH.
