Matthew A. Monnin age 32, of Versailles passed away at 7:23 pm Tuesday, May 16, 2023, as the result of a motorcycle accident.
Matthew was born December 30, 1990, in Dayton to Keith & Rita (Rismiller) Monnin of Versailles. In addition to his parents, Matthew is also survived by his daughter, Ava of New Bremen; sister & brother-in-law, Megan & Parker Housman of Palestine; nephews, Charlie & Roscoe Housman; maternal grandfather, Virgil Rismiller of Rossburg; and paternal grandfather, Donald Monnin of Russia.
Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Connie Harter; and paternal grandmother, Mary Monnin.
Matthew was a 2009 graduate of Versailles High School. He worked for Dabe Pressure Cleaning in Versailles. Matthew enjoyed riding his motorcycle, poker runs, fishing, kayaking, hanging out with friends, and his dogs.
A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held at 10:30 am Monday, May 22, 2023, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor John Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Bailey Zechar Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
