OCTOBER 13, 1959 – JULY 28, 2023
Melinda Jane Stacy, age 63 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 10:20 AM at her home. Born in Greenville on October 13, 1959 she was a daughter to Christina (Nicholson) Pitzer and the late Don Pitzer. She was a graduate of Greenville High School, class of 1978. In her younger years, Melinda worked for FRAM Corp for 22 years, and later in life, for Premier Health as a receptionist for 12 years. She and her husband, William had attended Woodington Church for many years. In her free time she enjoyed crafting, which she was exceptionally good at. Melinda loved to travel, gardening and spending time with her family. She had a heart of gold, and will truly be missed. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her stillborn son, Nicholas Batten: brother Mark Pitzer: sister Michelle Smith.
Survived by her husband of 29 years, William Stacy, whom she married on July 2, 1994: sons Zachary (Morgan) Batten; Gabriel Batten: step-children Karen Nora Stacy; Ryan (Brittany) Stacy: grandchildren Maisie, Brylee, Finley; and Harper: sisters Marcia (Wayne) Arnold; Susan (Jeff) Kolling: nieces and nephews whom she loved very much, as well as extended family members and friends. The family would like to extend their appreciation to EverHeart Hospice, as well as the Darke County Cancer Association, for the love and care they provided Melinda and her family.
Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 12:30 PM-2:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. Funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Fulton presiding.
