New Shelter Hours: Effective April 15, 2023 the hours at the Darke County Animal Shelter will be:
- Monday-Friday 8:00 to 12:00 & 1:00 to 4:30
- Saturday: Closed- Adoption Appointments Only
The Shelter will schedule appointments for Saturday at 30 minute increments to view a particular dog. If you make an appointment for Saturday please verify on Friday afternoon that the dog is still available. The Shelter will NOT HOLD dogs until the time of an appointment.
In the months of December and January the shelter will be open Saturdays 9:00-12:00 for walk-ins to purchase dog license and adoptions.
