Peaches and Ray are waiting at the Animal Shelter to be adopted

The Darke County Animal Shelter has 2 new dogs available for adoption.

They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.

The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday 9am-11:30 am. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.

Peaches came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of her own. Unfortunately, they were evicted and could not take her with them. We have been told that Peaches is a 1 1/2-year-old female Husky/Shepherd/Collie mix. Peaches’s owner told us that she is great with kids of all ages, good with cats and is playful with other dogs. Peaches will sit by the door when she needs to go out. Peaches knows how to sit, lay down, shake and knows her name. Peaches loves car rides, the dog park, and loves to cuddle. Peaches is a shy girl but will warm up with treats. Peaches did great for her nail trim, bath, and exam where she weighs in at 37.2 lbs.
Ray came to us as a stray so our knowledge is very limited and what we know is only to what we have observed. We believe Ray is a 2 year-old intact male Terrier mix. Ray is a very sweet boy who loves attention and treats. Ray knows how to play tug- of- war and loves to play with toys. Ray walks well on a leash. Ray doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Ray was a very relaxed pup for is nail trim, bath and exam where he weighs in at 47.6 lbs
