Rhea Sue Potts, 87, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 11:42 a.m. on Wednesday April 3, 2024, at the Hospice of Cincinnati Margret J. Thomas Inpatient Care Center, Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was born March 17, 1937, in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Ada Bright.
Rhea worked for several years at the Union County School in College Corner, Ohio as an administrative secretary and school clerk. She attended Union County School and graduated in 1955. Rhea enjoyed singing, playing piano, playing flute in the high school band; and she loved celebrating and decorating for Christmas; but most of all she enjoyed being a mother to her two sons.
Rhea is preceded in death by her parents; her 1st husband, Harold Liming; and her 2nd husband, Everett Potts.
Rhea is survived by her youngest son, Craig Potts of Maineville, Ohio, her grandson, David Potts, of Cincinnati, Ohio; her oldest son, James Liming, and daughter-in-law, Sandra Liming, of Prosper, Texas; and her two step-grandsons, James Meseke of McKinney, Texas and Mathew Meseke of Prosper, Texas, and their families.
A Visitation and Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at which time the Celebration of Life Service will begin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
