Richard “Ken” G. Kensinger

JUNE 26, 1937 – OCTOBER 15, 2023

Richard G. “Ken” Kensinger age 86, of Greenville went Home to be with his Savior at 1:00 pm Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Brethren Retirement Community.

Ken was born June 26, 1937, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, to the late Eleanor (Sampey) Jarvis & Robert Kensinger. Ken was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Tupps.

Ken is survived by his wife of 63 years, Grace (Willetts) Kensinger whom he married August 5, 1960; children, Kimberley Tupps of Cosby, Tennessee, Kristen & Don Booher of Germantown, Ohio, Richard G. & Beth Kensinger of Xenia, Ohio, and Dr. Robert & Sherry Kensinger of Caldwell, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Ken served 2 years in the U.S. Navy and 2 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Ken was a radiology technician/CT scan and did engineering work. He was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Greenville and the Greenville American Legion. He loved the Greenville community and played an integral part in the restoration and function of Greenville Memorial Hall working lights and sound for many productions over the years. Ken also loved to travel the world working with missions’ teams to build churches, hospitals, or assist in any way needed.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Bible Fellowship Church 7757 Greenville Celina Rd., Greenville with Pastor Scott Gruber officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the church with a service to immediately follow at 11:00 am. Private graveside service in Abbottsville Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Exalting Christ in Honduras (checks made out to “Exalting Christ in Honduras”) 2326 S. Parsons Ave. Seffner, FL 33584 or the Brethren Retirement Community Resident Aid Fund 750 Chestnut St. Greenville, OH 45331. Arrangements are entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
