The Darke County Animal Shelter has new dogs for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday 9am-11:30 am. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.
Dohme came to us as an owner surrender. We are told Dohme is a 10 -year-old intact male Pomeranian Mix. Dohme is good with dogs, cats, and is crate trained. Dohme has shown us he loves attention and is very cuddly. Dohme walks well on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Dohme did well for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 11.5 lbs.ax came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is very limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Max is a 3-year-old intact male Australian Shepherd/ Border Collie Mix. Max has shown us he knows how to sit, shake and loves treats! Max is a big cuddle bug who loves attention. Max is such a patient boy as we are trying to get all the burrs and stickers off of him. Max doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter and walks well on a leash. Max did great for his exam where he weighs in at 68.5 lbs.River came to us as an owner surrender. We are told River is a 2-year-old intact male Lab Mix. River loves kids, cats, housebroken and loves to curl up in a fluffy bed and blankets. River is a very sweet boy who loves attention and toys especially trying to get the squeaker out! River has shown us he knows how to sit, lay down and is very treat motivated. River doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter and walks well on a leash. River weighs in at 76 lbs. and did great for his bath and examRosita came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is very limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Rosita is a 1-year-old female Lab Mix. Rosita has shown us she knows how to sit, lay down and loves toys, especially squeaky toys. Rosita is a very playful pup who loves attention and plays with treats! Rosita is a very sweet girl who walks well on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Rosita did great for her nail trim and exam where she weighs in at 39.5 lbs.Titan came to us as an owner surrender due to family issues. We are told Titan is a 6-month-old intact male Poodle/ Lab Mix. Titan is good with dogs, loves kids, never been around cats, housebroken and is crate trained. Titan is a very friendly boy who loves to play. Titan knows how to sit, shake and walks great on a leash. Titan doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Titan did well for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 45 lbs.Zippie came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is very limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Zippie is a 1-year-old female Whippet Mix. Zippie has shown us she knows how to sit, loves squeaky toys and attention. Zippie is a very sweet girl who walks well on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Zippie did great for her nail trim and exam where she weighs in at 29 lbs.
