The Darke County Animal Shelter has 3 new dogs looking for a forever couch

The Darke County Animal Shelter has 3 new dogs, each one of them the perfect pet for someone out there.

All of them got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are dewormed, heartworm negative and microchipped.

The Shelter’s adoption fees are $90 cash/check. Their visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday 9am-11:30 am. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.

Note: The shelter will be closed November 11th,12th &13th in observance of Veterans Day. They will reopen November 14th at 8:00am.

Gretchen came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is very limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Gretchen is a 9-week-old female Collie Mix. Gretchen sometimes knows how to sit and loves lambchop, the stuffed animal. Gretchen is a very sweet girl who is shy at first in her kennel but is very outgoing outside of her kennel. Gretchen doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Gretchen did great for her bath and exam where she weighs in at 13 lbs.
Minnie came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is very limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Minnie is a 10-week-old female Terrier Mix. Minnie loves toys especially Tug- Of- War! Minnie is a very sweet little girl who loves attention and loves treats! Minnie doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Minnie did great for her bath and exam where she weighs in at 12 lbs.
River came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is limited and only to what we have observed. We believe River is a 2-year-old intact male Lab Mix. River is a very sweet boy who loves attention. River has shown us he knows how to sit, lay down and is very treat motivated. River doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter and walks well on a leash. River weighs in at 76 lbs. and did great for his bath and exam
