The Darke County Animal Shelter has new dogs available for adoption

The Darke County Animal Shelter has 7 new dogs, each one of them the perfect pet for someone out there.

All of then got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.

The Shelter’s adoption fees are $90 cash/check. Their visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday 9am-11:30 am. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.

Hello Bentley! Bentley came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited and only know from what we have observed! We believe Bentley to be around 1 year old and is an intact male Golden Retriever Mix. This handsome boy is learning how to walk on a leash. While having Bentley outside he loves to run around and chase after toys but is unsure of what to do. Bentley is a very silly boy who loves to run and jump around. Bentley seems to love everyone he has met so far and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Bentley did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighed in at 66.6 lbs.

Mr. Doodle came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited and only know from what we have observed! We believe Mr. Doodle to be around 1 1/2 years old and is an intact male Poodle Mix. This sweet boy walks well on a leash. While having Mr. Doodle outside he loves to watch you throw the ball but is unsure of what to do. Mr. Doodle is very food motivated and will sit for a treat! Mr. Doodle is a very friendly boy who loves attention! Mr. Doodle doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Mr. Doodle did great for his nail trim, baths and exam where he weighed in at 66.6 lbs.

Finn came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited and only know from what we have observed! We believe Finn to be around 1 year old and is an intact male Poodle Mix. This sweet boy walks great on a leash. While having Finn outside he loves to run around but he loves attention the most! Finn loves to be outside and watch you throw the toys and is unsure of what to do. Finn seems to love everyone he has met so far and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Finn did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighed in at 63.4 lbs.

Gunner was owner surrender to us at no fault of his own his owner had to move and could not take him with her. We have been told that Gunner is 3-year-old intact male Husky mix. Gunner’s owner told us that he is great with kids and does well with female dogs. Gunner knows how to sit and walks well on a leash. Gunner weighs in at 41.6 lbs.

Nancy came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is very limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Nancy is a 1 1/2-year-old female Poodle Mix. Nancy is a very sweet, happy girl who walks well on a leash and will chase after toys. Nancy loves attention and loves people! Nancy doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Nancy did great for her bath and exam where she weighs in at 53.6 lbs.

Otis came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited and only know from what we have observed! We believe Otis to be around 1 year old and is an intact male Bernese Mountain Dog Mix. This sweet boy is learning how to walk on a leash. Otis loves to be outside where he can run around and play with rope toys. Otis is a little shy about people at first but if given the time he will warm up over time. Otis doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Otis doesn’t seem to mind getting a bath. Otis did great for his exam where he weighed in at 62 lbs.

Copper was owner surrendered to us at no fault of his own his owner had to move and could not take him with her. We have been told that Copper is 3-year-old intact male Husky mix. Copper’s owner told us that he is great with kids and does well with female dogs. Copper knows how to sit and walks well on a leash and loves belly rubs! Copper weighs in at 46.8 lbs.
