There are new dogs at the Shelter!

The Darke County Animal Shelter has 5 new dogs from 1 1/2 to 6 years old, each one of them the perfect pet for someone out there.

All of them got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative and microchipped.

The Shelter’s adoption fees are $90 cash/check. Their visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday 9am-11:30 am. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.

We have been told that Aslan is 1 1/2-year-old neutered male Chow mix. Aslan owner told us that he is great with kids, loves car rides and will play tug-a-war. Aslan walks well on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Aslan weighs in at 49.6 lbs.
Jim came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Jim is a 6-year-old intact male Shih-Tzu Mix. Jim love treat and walks well on a leash. Jim is a sweet dog who loves attention. Jim doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Jim weighs in at 14.2 lbs.
Layla came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is very limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Layla is a 2-year-old female Terrier Mix. Layla knows how to sit, lay down and will play tug-a-war! Layla is sweet girl who loves attention and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. She weighs in at 56 lbs.
We have been told Letti is a 6-year-old female Husky mix. Letti’s owner told us that Letti is very laid-back girl, did great with owner’s children who are 10 years & 12 years and that she loves to go on short walks. Letti has shown us she knows how to sit, loves attention and treats. She weighed in at 61 lbs.
We have been told that Lotus is a 2-year-old female Australian Shepherd Mix. We were told that Lotus did great with kids, cats and dogs. Lotus is shy at first but does warm up over time. Lotus knows how to sit and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. She weighs in at 38.6 lbs.
