William Stephen Hunter

DECEMBER 9, 1942 – APRIL 10, 2023

William “Bill” Stephen Hunter, age 80 of Greenville, Ohio (formerly of Tipp City) passed away peacefully at 3:33 AM on Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Brethren’s Retirement Community, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Dayton, Ohio on December 9, 1942 he was a son to the late Joseph & Eugenia (Frick) Hunter. Bill was a graduate of Chaminade Catholic High School, class of 1961. He had worked as a Customer Service Technician at Dayton Power & Light, and had also been a supervisor at Vectren. Bill had also served in both the United States Army and Air Force Reserves. He enjoyed cars, loved spending time with his grandchildren, and being “snow birds” with his wife, Donna, traveling to their condo in Florida in the winters. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother David Hunter.

Survived by his wife of 30 years, Donna (Bevins) Hunter, whom he married February 27, 1993: children Joseph & Cyndi Hunter; Deborah Vaughn; Angie & Rob Sullivan; Brian & Lisa Snell: grandchildren Catie Hunter; Mitchell Denlinger; Hunter & Gracie Vaughn; Collin Vaughn; Kayli Sullivan; Jason Sullivan; Desiree & Andy Vance; Amber & Aaron Oglesbee: great-grandchildren Brayden, Alaina, Graham, and Austin: siblings Joseph & Zoa Hunter; Sharon & Phil Buehrer: and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Friends may call on the family on Monday, April 17th, 2023 from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E National Rd, Vandalia, OH 45377 with Fr. Kyle Schnipple presiding. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or EverHeart Hospice.
